My husband whisked me away to the Rocks Hotel in Kyrenia for a relaxing break to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. Gonorthcyprus handled our booking and arranged our transfers too, which was a relief as we find it very stressful to do ourselves! My husband and I booked a week away at the Rocks Hotel and have just returned feeling relaxed and refreshed. Our agent GoNorthCyprus.com got us a god price and arranged transfers, so we had nothing to worry about from the word go. I travelled to Rocks Hotel with a group of friends and was immensely glad we chose this resort from GoNorthCyprus.com, as it had everything we could want. Being directly on the seafront meant we could go for a splash in the water every day but, to be honest, we spent most of our time lying by the pool and fountain. Friends at work recommended GoNorthCyprus and my outline to them was brief, a 5star hotel on the Sea Front with Sea Views , The Rocks ticked all those boxes, the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast choice plentiful, I had dinner in the restaurant twice and can thoroughly recommend it, but you are somewhat spoilt for choice for restaurants outside , just along from the Hotel is Niazis, I never managed to finish the Full Kebab , the food never stopped coming I will definately be back .... more
We decided to push the boat out this year with a luxury break and have just returned from a ten-day holiday at the Rocks Hotel. We had a lovely stay at the rocks hotel everything we needed was there, the rooms were really nice clean and comfortable. I agree with other reviews that the hotel needed updating especially the bedrooms. If you put the shower on too quickly it fell off the wall. I found the hotel noisy at night from people coming in at all hours from either the open air nightclub across the road (whose music went on until 4.00am in the morning) or the casino. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Rocks Hotel. We were on a B&B board basis for 10 days. The breakfasts were lovely with something to suit all tastes. They don't have bacon but that didn't really matter. Their own strawberry jam is full of strawberries and delicious. Having read several reviews we decided to book the Rocks Hotel in Kyrenia for a weeks break in June 2014. This hotel is in a seafront location in the centre of Kyrenia. The hotel is rated as 5 star, and for the most part it is. The breakfast room is especially good to suit a wide selection of tastes. Absolutely all of the facilities were top class and never have we known such helpful and pleasant staff in over 40 years of holidaying world-wide. We had a very memorable stay at the Rocks Hotel, the only down side was the road works outside of the hotel, which we were warned about before hand but had not truly appreciated how bad it was! We recently spent 3 nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) at The Rocks Hotel. The hotel was very clean and the service excellent. Although it is a 5 star hotel I would say that furnishings and decoration are showing signs of wear and the hotel really needs to keep standards high in this respect. I am living for a year in Cyprus and normally do active holidays using hotels as just a sleeping location. My wife and I decided to have a totally different style of holiday where we would remain largely in the hotel and just read and tan ourselves. We made the decision to stay at the Rocks Hotel because of its superb sea front position, right at the heart of Kyrenia. I was not impressed with the Rocks hotel at all. When you first walk in, the place looks like a palace, then when you get to the rooms! SHOCK HORROR! Absolutely horrendous. Ther room was like a sauna when we arrived late at night. The heating regulator was faulty but they refused to recognise this for nearly an hour and then they told us to sleep with the room door and window open to reduce the heat. We loved the Rocks Hotel! First of all, let me compliment the staff on their truly excellent service. Immediately upon arrival in north cyprus, I realized I had left my medicine that I must take daily at home. This hotel is one of the more expensive ones in northern cyprus (Kyrenia), with a higher price tag than most, so when my husband and I stayed here recently, I expected much more and was somewhat disappointed. Me and my husband spent 7 days in the hotel. We had to change our room because the aircondition center in the back yard made a terrible noise even when you had closed the window. The Rocks is a hotel with a bit of an identity crises - is it for businessmen or tourists? (Or gamblers, come to that?) The Rocks is a great hotel if you want to be right in the middle of Kyrenia town. From the hotel its an easy walk down to the harbour and to the shops and sights.The Rocks is a smart international-style hotel that seems to have a lot of business conferences and meetings, so as a 'tourist' you have the pool pretty much to yourself until after lunch. .
