“Rocks Hotel is good”
My two weeks holiday at the Rocks Hotel was just what I wanted. The weather was pleasant and the sunshine was very welcome after what we had escaped from, but there was always a cool breeze. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff treated us like royalty! The hotel was actually very empty, but I think they would have treated us the same even if it had been full. Nothing was too much trouble. They gave us directions, got us some batteries immediately which we needed for the TV remote control and they even greeted us by name. It was so impressive.
The hotel rooms are excellent. The half-board meals are good – buffet style and very nicely presented. The only complaint I have is that all the drinks were very expensive. In fact the cocktails were better value than the soft drinks. However I did discover this was not just 'hotel prices'. Drinks are generally pricey wherever you go, and ice creams are too. Another tip is to exchange your money at a bank or use a debit card in the cash machines. That is the cheapest way to get a good exchange rate without losing 10% of it for the service.
