We loved the Rocks Hotel! First of all, let me compliment the staff on their truly excellent service. Immediately upon arrival in north cyprus, I realized I had left my medicine that I must take daily at home. One phone call to the front desk, and 15 minutes later they were knocking on my door with replacements, purchased from the local pharmacy. In addition, they were truly helpful and took time to answer all our questions and really made sure we enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were really nice; tastefully furnished and elegant, with large comfortable beds. We did upgrade to a deluxe room with an ocean view which caused us some concern at first, as although the view was fantastic, the room faced the front of the hotel, where people came and went at all hours of the night. Surprisingly, we weren't disturbed by this. Apparently the rooms are better sound-proofed than many hotels in northern cyprus. Our room was very clean and kept clean throughout our stay. They turned our beds down for us also, in the evenings – a nice treat.

The pool appeared very clean – the water was crystal clear – and always the right temperature. They keep clean towels available for the lounge chairs also, and some of them even have mattresses on them. There's no beach to speak of; well no sand anyway, but we enjoyed the pool so much that it didn't matter to us.

The food was delicious here at the rocks hotel – much better than some other hotels we've stayed in. For breakfast, they really go out of their way to make sure you have plenty. The selections were endless and even the pickiest of eaters would enjoy the breakfasts here. We weren't all inclusive so we didn't bother with dinner much in the hotel, although the couple of times we ate there, it was great. Most evenings, however, we chose to walk down the road a short distance to one of the many local restaurants so that we could try out some different things. All of the restaurants in the vicinity were very good.

There is a casino here, not in the hotel itself but close by, and many of the people who stay at the Rocks Hotel seem to spend a lot of their time in the casino. I wasn't old enough to get in (you have to be 25 to enter) so we didn't get to go, but still we enjoyed our stay. Just keep the age thing in mind if you are planning a big gambling trip here. This particular casino only allows 25 or older.

All in all, a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone.
