This was a great introduction to the northern region of Cyprus, my husband and I booked a week's stay at the Denizkizi through gonorthcyprus, who got us a good price. We had a very nice room right on the top floor with superb sea views. Everything was clean and well kept. We enjoyed the food at the hotel but also ate out about half the time as we like variety. We've just returned from a relaxed break at the Denizkizi, which we booked through gonorthcyprus. The run-up to Christmas is always stressful and we wanted to experience a slower pace of life before coming back to throw ourselves into the Christmas spirit. We found the Denizkiki and Denizkiki Royal hotels on the gonorthcyprus website and were tempted by the wonderful reviews. Two hotels for the price of one was a great deal in our opinion so we booked soon after and stayed at the Royal. I took my wife to the Denizkiki for a week's stay and we had a wonderful time. The reviews were great and we got an excellent price from GoNorthCyprus for an out of season break so booked straightaway. We knew not all the services would be available at this time of year but weren't bothered - we just wanted to enjoy relaxing, which is what we did. My kids love playing in the sea so it was crucial that we found a hotel with a beachside location when looking on GoNorthCyprus.com. Denizkiki Royal Hotel didn't disappoint, as it is situated next to a sandy, sheltered bay, which is ideal for children as it has shallow, warm water and a restaurant just a few metres away on the beach. Facilities were great and the hotel staff were really friendly and professional. We loved sitting by the pool and watching the amazing cloud systems washing over the mountains. We booked our break through GoNorthCyprus and were pleased to get a really great deal for our first ever trip to North Cyprus. We stayed in the 3-star Denizkizi Hotel but also received access to the 4-star Denizkizi Royal nearby, so we were able to enjoy all the upgraded facilities. What a brilliant choice this turned out to be! This was our first visit to Northern Cyprus and Mandy from gocyprus.com gave us brilliant advice over the phone. we visited this hotel again as a couple for the second time. we actually stayed at the Denizkizi not the Royal. we had a deluxe corner room, sea facing 3rd floor, with beautiful views of the sea, beach and the mountains. We booked half board and arrived late evening having requested food to be waiting as the hotel restaurant would be shut, only to find no food. We were told they did not know anything about our request (although they knew we would be coming late from the UK) and told kitchen was closed. They suggested we walk 400 metres to local supermarket to buy food! We found a local bar/restaurant which had shut down its ovens but kindly did us a pizza each. If you want to relax and get away to a beautiful location with great weather, then this is for you.The hotel is located approx. 10 mins car drive to the harbor town of Kyrenia if you want shops and nightlife or a change of food. The rooms are cleaned everyday, the balconies are clean and spacious, not one mosquito in sight, but you can get bitten by the fish in the sea! We will definitely be going back! This was our first visit and every other person we spoke to had returned and were on their 12th, 15th or 27th visit! Speaks for itself, and it is easy to see why people come again and again. Great food, great service, great beach, great pool, easy to get into Kyrenia by bus or taxi, couple of little bars in the same street when you fancy a change. The hotel does not overcharge for drinks or food either in any of its bars.... more
Lovely staff, great location with its own beach area and swimming pool, a short bus journey into Kyrenia and the lovely beach area of Alsancak. My only disappointment was the lack of balcony, we stayed in the recently refurbished hotel and although we had wall to wall windows I still prefer a balcony space.There are lovely little beach bars in the area like the Cabin where you can lunch and use the facilities e.g. they have sun loungers on a lovely decking area plus a private beach area, this place... more
Decor in our Royal bedroom was a bit tired. We were aware of this when we booked but the lack of a balcony at their other refurbished hotel in the same location resulted in our decision to stay at the Royal. Staff in both hotels were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities at the pool and on the beach were very good. The buffet food in the restaurant was good quality albeit not the most exciting. My husband & I stayed at the Denizkizi Hotel for 4 days over the New Year. We had a great time. Our room was a good size & the bathroom very clean & modern. We were half board & the meals were buffet, a good choice of both hot & cold food & wine was reasonably priced for a 4* hotel. All staff were pleasant. All areas of the hotel were very clean. For summer visitors there is a good size swimming pool in the gardens & a nice small sandy beach.We would be happy to stay there again.... more
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Denizkizi Royal Hotel. We had a suite with a wonderful sea view from a balcony which covered the 3 rooms of the suite. Room was a little bit tired looking and could do with an upgrade. A favourite hotel of ours now for many years, The Deniz Kizi did not disappointment when we returned this November for two weeks. The fact that the owner is to be found most days surveying the gardens and the performance of the staff and eats in the hotel restaurant proves that the standards are never allowed to slip. Just a couple of days ago, we returned home from having a week long break in this hotel. We have a lot of good things to say about the place, and would fully recommend it to most groups of people.You can tell that there has been a lot of work done in recent years to make this a wonderful place to stay for the guests. We stayed at the Denizkizi 3 star, not the Royal and although pleasant and clean, it didn't quite do it for us; there was an underlying atmosphere of lack of care. The rooms are nice - big picture windows with amazing views and clean but again, a lack of customer care seemed prevalent. Enormously relaxing, clean and very well run by resident family owners who are visible every day giving a careful eye to efficiency. They do an excellent job. The staff they employ are a delight to deal with and nothing is too much trouble for them. I and mywife would certainly return to this hotel. We had a pretty low budget so we were limited in where we could stay, so we opted for a three star hotel. I really wasn't expecting to be impressed, but we got much more than we paid for. There are two Deniziki hotels; one is three stars the other four. They are both right next to each other, we stayed at the three star hotel. I found the hotel through Go North Cyprus, and they were very accurate in their description of it. At the Denizkizi, I booked a room at the 3 star hotel, hoping that we might be able to sneak into the bigger 4 star hotel if need be. No sneaking required, as the two hotels operate as one, and guests can move freely between the two. We loved our holiday here! A perfect day was lying on the beach which curved right around the little bay, just soaking up the sun!
