Salamis Bay is a nice hotel, a little tired here and there, but welcoming and well looked after by a team of efficient staff. We stayed for a week through gonorthcyprus and enjoyed our trip very much. I took my wife and kids away to Salamis Bay Conti Hotel for a week after finding the hotel on gonorthcyprus.com. We got a good deal and couldn't wait. We booked a week at Salamis Bay Conti with our toddler after finding the hotel online. GoNorthCyprus gave us a good price and we were pleased with the booking process, which was very smooth. This is a busy hotel with a lot to offer, we booked for a week with gonorthcyprus and had a great time. The hotel is large and clearly popular, we had a good-sized bedroom and bathroom which were both clean and well kept. I recently stayed at Salamis Bay with my husband and our daughter. We booked with Go North Cyprus, who were very accommodating and helpful and even arranged transfers for us. When we arrived at the hotel we were checked in efficiently by a friendly member of staff and given a comfortable room with a gorgeous sea view. I booked thru Go North Cyprus, overall happy with the Holiday but it is Not a five star,the rooms were clean and comfortable , the food a never ending choice and great Spa facilities, we spent most of our time on the beach . We stayed at the Salamis Bay Conti Hotel for a week in May with our four-year-old twins and had an amazing time, so much so that we've already arranged to return in 2017. Yet again, thanks to gonorthcyprus.com and the staff at Salamis Bay, we have had the most wonderful holiday. Form the moment we entered the fun began, with the playful banter with the reception staff. Our room was as great as always and the fruit and wine waiting for us was a real treat. An excellent hotel for all tastes. We went to totally relax and wasn't disappointed as the hotel has separate areas for those who want peace & quiet or want a more livelier experience. We spent most of the time on the beach with no hassle or noise from the nearby pool area. A very disappointing stay. The Hotel is old, tired . They somehow think because guests have arrived All Inclusive that they haven't paid! The service is poor and drinks etc. are thrown at you. The quality of the drinks was terrible and like drinking paint stripper so paying AI is not worth it . There is a queue for breakfast and dinner as 1500 or more people file into 1 restaurant. Having stayed at various 5* hotels across the world I would not class this hotel in that catorgary. Staff very friendly public areas immaculate. Room housekeeping disgusting if you were lucky you might get the bed made otherwise sheet left DIY duster never seen the room for entire stay Hoover non existent. I was very disappointed especially with a lack of English speaking staff. I found it really hard to communicate. The laundry services are absolutely useless, the gym opens late (but it's really well equipped). We stayed in a two bedroom villa, which was spotlessly clean.We had a great view of the pool and the sea which was lovely. The food was the best that we have ever experienced on an all inclusive basis, so much choice, well cooked and tasty. The desserts were plentiful and far too tempting! We stayed in a De-lux duplex at The Salamis Bay Conti Hotel. This consisted of a large living area/lounge, of which was a double bedroom; sea view balcony; stairs leading up to an on-suite bedroom with two single beds. The hotel room was very clean but fairly small although adequate. It looked newly decorated in fact. The season didn't actually start until May, so a few things were not available, such as the water slides and one of the restaurants but this didn't affect our holiday. The hotel in general was very clean our room [1618] was very large with a king / king size bed, the staff were extremely helpful. It would be a good idea for the reception staff to enquire if elderly visitors would require any assistance or had any health problems when registering. I've just returned from a trip to North Cyprus and am so pleased I picked it as a holiday destination! Beautifull hotel, good food lots of choice there is something for everyone never seen so much choices at the salad bar and desert table, the hotel was very clean and all the staff were excellent. Overall had a very nice time, we will certainly be going again later in the year if the price is right. Our stay was extremely pleasant and we would recommend the hotel to anyone considering a holiday in Northern Cyprus. Even though we went there at a particularly unattractive time of the year, and were not able to enjoy the full range of available attractions such as swimming in sea or the beach, we had a good time. Hotel was lovely, with very helpful pleasant staff; all-inclusive was well worth the money, the food quality and variety meant that meal times were a joy. There is not a lot to do after a visit to Famagusta (the hotel has 2 mini-bus trips into and back form Famagusta daily) and a few day trips further afield (Kyrenia) however that was fine for us as we had the gym and indoor pool to keep us happy for the week of relaxation that we needed.The only down-side was the drilling that woke us up on Monday... more

Booked hotel through Gonorthcyprus hollidays and was picked up in Larnaca and taken to the hotel no problem. My wife and I spent a great week here in late September 2011. Hotel on the beach and staff friendly. Great place to relax in the sun. Great pool area and lots of sunbeds and towels. I stayed at Salamis Bay Conti Hotel recently for a few days. I have to agree with the other reviews that say it's way below 5 stars. This hotel is maybe 3 stars, definitely no more, although they advertise themselves as being a 5 star hotel. When we arrived the reception lade was very friendly and help full. We took our card (key) and went to the room which I really like it.The view from our room was amazing . weather this time a year was also amazing very hot but comfortable, easy to have rest ,sun bathing next to the pool or sea. When we arrived they could not find our booking and we were told by “go north Cyprus” that we did not have to bring anything, so we didn't. After us worrying for about 15 minutes if we actually have a place to sleep in that Hotel, they eventually found that booking. We stayed here for 9 days in May 2010. We'd read all the reviews before we went, and therefore weren't expecting too much from the hotel, but we were after a quiet getaway so it suited us just fine. It's advertised as 5-star, but that's not UK 5-star, I'd say it was more like a 3-star by UK standards. The indoor facilities were great good size indoor pool, sauna etc however the rest of the hotel lacked atmosphere the bar area was open plan and empty thus very boring for two teenagers. The hotel is not 5 star by international standards and if in Istanbul it would be classed between 3 and 4 star. The hot food was cold and the quality not very good either. The hotel is perfect for small conferences and workshops - various facilities and cosy conference rooms, qualified staff and good food.
