I found Club Simena when browsing gonorthcyprus.com and we decided to book our first break to North Cyprus there. It's not a luxury hotel but the reviews and price were good. We were pleased with the standard of our room, which was comfortable and very clean with plenty of hot water available in the shower. Staff were welcoming and efficient and we enjoyed the meals we had here too. My wife and I booked a short, cheap break at Club Simena through the gonorthcyprus website. We were looking for somewhere pretty basic to switch off for a while before Christmas and Club Simena fit the bill. Staff were friendly and our apartment was basic but adequate. We took our daughter to Club Simena after deciding on a last-minute trip before school started. We found the hotel online and booked through Gary at GoNorthCyprus, we got a good deal inclusive of airport transfers. I booked a trip here for my wife and I through gonorthcyprus, Gary in sales got us a great deal and we were looking forward to a bit of autumn sun. Weather still nice in Cyprus at this time of year and we really enjoyed our trip to Club Simena, which we found clean, tidy and welcoming. We spent a week here with our two little ones after booking through gonorthcyprus.com and I must say we all had a whale of a time. It's a fairly basic hotel but it's cheap, so don't expect any luxuries. Saying that, the staff are friendly and the hotel is relatively clean and tidy. We had a villa set in nice grounds, plenty of space for us all and the kids absolutely loved the pool and the aqua slides, couldn't drag them away, was great to be able to relax in the sun while they enjoyed themselves.... more
We stayed here June 10 -20th 2017 and !loved it. It was our second visit and I am sure we will be back. Manager Mehmet is a true gentlemen and the staff are all you expect in a family resort. The grounds are beautifully maintained and everything is so clean. An elderly gentlemen had medical problems which were dealt with sympathetically and efficiently. We made a last-minute decision to book a holiday in Cyprus as wanted to escape for a bit and hadn't been to the north before. We were very impressed by the descriptions and reviews of Club Simena on the gonorthcyprus website and decided to book a break in February to avoid the busy times. When we arrived there was a taxi waiting to take us to the hotel, which was wonderful. We were made to feel very welcome and the check in process for our studio room was efficient. We stayed at Club Simena for a week on the advice of Gary at GoNorthCyprus.com and returned with fantastic memories. Our family of four was easily accommodated in one of the villas, which was clean and spacious, plus there's lots of fun to be had outdoors for little ones - The villas are quite private too, with plenty of trees about, so we spent some time in the sun despite it being out of season. Lovely quiet hotel in a really scenic setting with the mountains in the background. I took my kids (5 and 7) for a short break because we all needed a treat and the holiday was perfect for us. The first thing we noticed about Club Simena was the fantastic backdrop of mountains – a really spectacular view as you approach the hotel and the kids were very excited! The hotel has garden surroundings and a large swimming pool, complete with slides, which the children were desperate to try out as soon as they caught sight of it. Same style and layout as sempati if you want fine dining then for a quid jump on the friendly bus service into the local harbour girne would stay at simena again for a great holiday. I feel comfortable calling myself a regular at the Simena, in as much as you can possibly be a “regular” at an establishment in a foreign country. I've been there over a dozen times at least, so I know the place incredibly well. I have mixed feelings about our stay at the Club Simena Hotel, Kyrenia. We were looking for a relaxing holiday and although that's what we got: the hotel was a lot quieter than we expected in terms of entertainment and having things close by. It was a little isolated so we had to hire a car unexpectedly.Despite the hotel being too quiet for our liking, we found the staff to be excellent. Gary at Go North Cyprus found my family an excellent deal to stay at the Hotel Club Simena and we've just returned. We had a really excellent holiday and absolutely loved North Cyprus! As we were going off-peak, the interconnected bungalows at Club Simena were available to us, so when our booking agent, Mandy, suggested it, we jumped at the chance! We had booked a bungalow for ourselves, 15 year old son & 12 year old daughter but when we arrived at the hotel we were shown to 2 double rooms in different appartment blocks. After a great deal of argument that we were not having the children seperated from us we were given rooms next to each other in the same block. Just returned from a two week stay at Club Simena the rooms although a little old were immaculately clean well maintained and nice comfortable beds. The pool is fantastic large and so easy to spend a day resting pool side.The surrounding area is quiet but a nice little cove near by and plenty of resaurants in and around Lapta, Kyrenia is a must although the harbour area is nice the food over expensive compared to other areas having said that the standard of cuisine everywhere is second to none.... more
My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and tidy the towels were changed daily and the beds were changed every other day. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon. If you are only band b the look out for Jessic which is a 100 yds down the road. Don't be fooled by appearances the food is fantastic with a great choice and a very good price. The company is excellant.... more
The Club Simena Hotel is a wonderful hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here recently, even though it's a good distance from Kyrenia (about 15 minutes). There's a smaller town a little closer and you can take the bus to and from the hotel into town but to be honest, there's not a lot to do, although there are a few restaurants and internet cafes. There are quite a few historical sites in Kyrenia and more to do, but you'll need to rent a car or take a taxi.The hotel itself is quiet and relaxing... more
we stayed at the club simena and it was lovely, the bungalows were very clean and well presented the maid came round every day to clean and leave clean towels for the bathroom, every 2nd day our sheets were changed, we could not fault this place at all the staff were very friendly and always there to lend a hand if need be..it was our 1st holiday to north cyprus and we enjoyed it that much we are planning to go and staying at the club simena, i would rate it 10 out of 10..if anyone is thinking about... more
I stayed recently at Simena,as I had gone to Cyprus to visit an old friend.I had thought Id maybe feel uncomfortable staying alone,yet I was made so welcome.The place was really pretty,all the rooms set around the pools with lovely flower borders.The room was simple,very clean,with fresh towels and bathroom cleaned daily.A beautiful natural cove with lovely cafe,called Sardunya,is twenty minutes walk,down a quiet road.The staff were so friendly,polite and helpful. We booked two days before travelling, having never been to North Cyprus before. On arrival at Club Simena, we were pleasantly surprised, the accommodation is large and clean, the beds comfortable, set around the two large swimming pools, one with three large slides to keep the children busy. This was my second stay at the Club Simena Hotel in North Cyprus and I can honestly say it was just as good the second time as it was the first time. This time, I came with a large group and the staff were just as welcoming to our group as they were when I came with only one other person. Some of my girly friends and I decided to treat ourselves after Christmas to beat the January blues. We didn't have a very large budget and were after peace and relaxation. The Club Simena hotel offered all of this and more!We were delighted to be greeted in such a friendly manner by the obliging staff. Went to Club Simena for a christmas break with a difference. There was a large group of us, mostly over 50 but a few younger memebers of the group too, so i think this reviews is well balanced. This place was a bıt far out but still pretty nicely located. There are cafes and restaurants locally if youre looking for somewhere to eat. I'll keep it really to the point as mention some of the important bits you should know when deciding if this is the place for you to spend your hard earned money! Club Simena is located around fifteen minutes away from the town centre of Kyrenia. This distance is relatively unimportant because there are buses and taxis to take you from outside the hotel to whatever destination you're heading to. Because the hotel is a little bit off the beaten track, Club Simena is fairly quiet and removed from the noise of the town centre. I'm writing this review while I'm here because it's so great, seriously its such a great place we're in love with it! It doesn't matter that it's out of the way because there are plenty restaurants, Internet cafes and barbers and so on in the area.It's a convenient location with the Dolmus bus stop directly outside the hotel and there are first class shops at Kyrenia, which is just fifteen minutes away which isnt bad at all. My wife and I stayed at the Club Simena with another couple and we were both very impressed, particularly with hotel's value for money. We definitely got more for our money than expected! We arrived late in the evening and were the last coach drop to be dropped off at our hotel. We visited to the Hotel Club Simena Holiday Village for a spring break, and although the hotel is really set up for summer visitors, we had a nice time. The whole complex centres around the outdoor swimming pool, which I did not want to swim in, but there was plenty of warm sun to sit out in for most of the day.
