We booked a break at Bare Hill Holiday Village through gonorthcyprus.com and enjoyed our stay. We had a comfortable, clean apartment just right for the four of us and the staff were very friendly, making us feel right at home on arrival and during the rest if our trip. The pool was kept very clean and the grounds were beautifully maintained. There are buses passing the apartments but I'd recommend hiring a car for getting around. There are a couple of supermarkets within walking distance if you... more
I've just returned from a short break at bare Hill Holiday Village, which I booked through GoNorthCyprus, and wanted to say what a lovely time we had. If you're looking for somewhere clean, quiet and relaxed that won't break the bank, this is it. Fantastic location for views of the mountains and the sea, the hotel has very natural surroundings with plenty of greenery and fruit trees. My room was large, airy and clean, and the atmosphere is one of peace and relaxation. Basic but sufficient breakfast... more
We've just returned from a week away at Bare Hill, which we booked via gonorthcyprus.com. What a lovely place, fairly basic but comfortable and great value. Very nice well-maintained gardens, clean accommodation and all the mod cons you need for a cheap self catering break as well as hairdryer, slippers and even a balcony. Fantastic mountain views and under ten minutes' walk away from a nice sandy beach. Really good, varied breakfast for just a few pounds each. Both my husband and I had a lovely... more
We booked a week at Bare Hill through the GoNorthCyprus website because the price and reviews were good and we would like to add our experiences to those of others. When we arrived it was the early hours but we still received a warm welcome and a cup of tea, which was a pleasant surprise. Our apartment was clean and tidy, very well kept and comfortable, we had a good sleep! The hotel grounds are just lovely and the pool very clean. We didn't use the pool but when we come back in summer we will!... more
We were looking to escape the madness at home before Christmas and booked a break at Bare Hill with GoNorthCyprus as the price was excellent and we were impressed with the reviews. Gary got us a very good deal and even organised our transfers so we could completely relax before jetting off! When we arrived we were blown away by the beauty of the location, with the mountains in the background and the lovely green gardens. We were welcomed warmly by the family who owns the hotel and there's a general... more
We came to Bare Hill for an out of season getaway to relax and we certainly got what we hoped for during our week away. After booking with gonorthcyprus we were really looking forward to chilling out and were delighted with our small but lovely apartment. It was cosy and clean, the whole hotel in fact was spotless. There's a good sized swimming pool and the gardens are beautiful and very well kept. The main plus point for us was the staff, the manager is very friendly and helpful, he is committed... more
We've just returned from our break at Bare Hill, which we booked through the GoNorthCyprus website. We got a great price and value, we feel, and enjoyed our time in north Cyprus. We were given a welcome drink on arrival and chatted to the friendly staff before being taken to our duplex bungalow, which was clean but would have benefitted from some more equipment and utensils. Lovely pool, beautiful tree-filled grounds and a quiet atmosphere, not like many of the other tourist resorts, which are noisy.... more
We had a very nice time at Bare Hill, my wife and I travelled from Manchester and arrived early in the morning but were still met by friendly staff and given some refreshments, which was a pleasant and unexpected touch. We were told by our agent gonorthcyprus that Bare Hill was a good choice for a relaxing break and they weren't wrong, it's got a nice, rustic feel, very relaxed and popular with locals, which is always a good sign. Our bungalow was kept very clean and we had wonderful views all around... more
Just returned from our holiday in Kyrenia, booked a week's break at Bare Hill with GoNorthCyprus.com, very good price inclusive of transfers which was a bonus. Lovely setting with great mountain views and nice rustic touches in the hotel. We stayed in a duplex bungalow which was quite basic but very light and airy, fitted with useful appliances for self catering. We did eat breakfast at the hotel's restaurant a few times though and were very impressed with the standard of cooking and the friendly... more
I've just got back from a short break at Bare Hill and wanted to leave a review so others will know how lovely this place is. I booked a trip for myself and my son through GoNorthCyprus.com, they were great to deal with and I was very happy that the transfers were included. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful, we really felt very welcomed. There are wonderful views of the mountains behind the hotel and the setting is nice and natural. I was looking for a peaceful retreat to relax that wouldn't break the bank and stumbled on the GoNorthCyprus website while browsing cheap holidays online. I was really impressed by the prices for Bare Hill so booked a long weekend for myself and my girlfriend. The hotel offers stunning views and is very quiet, being outside the main city, and our room was basic but had everything we needed. Just a short walk away are shops, restaurants and a lovely beach, which is all we really wanted from our trip,... more
I booked to go to Kyrenia, North Cyprus through GoNorthCyprus.com. I'd heard about the area from friends who said that it was quiet and peaceful and not ruined by tourism. I'm a writer and have suffered from serious writer's block so needed to get away for some 'thinking' time. I chose to use a booking agent in the hope to get expert advice- GoNorthCyprus gave me exactly that! I spoke to Gary, one of their agents, who have to add was very amusing! I told him that my priority was relaxation so he... more
We had a very pleasant two-week holiday, with airport transfers and hire car arranged through tour operator. Weather was excellent, so nice to sit out on the balcony. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, with requests for extra bedding and repairs dealt with immediately. The sheets and towels were changed frequently. The self-catering equipment included an electric kettle, but otherweise was very basic; however, eating out nearby or in Kyrenia was cheap and enjoyable. There were... more
Hello, everybody! It is a real good place for spending your vacations. Budgetly, but!: daily pool works,5 minutes to nearest supermarket (cheap raki there who interests))) ),also you may rent car nearby. City within a greatest fort and other historical places you may reach by dolmushas, which are available too. Management always will help if you will need anything. Beaches 7 min to budget, and 10-12 to more expensive. My mark is between "very good" and "excellent"!... more
I was really impressed with my recent stay at the Bare Hill Holiday Village. It seemed to get bad reviews in the past but I can honestly say that I found little fault with the hotel. It was ideally situated- on the outskirts of Kyrenia which meant that it was quiet and peaceful but still close to all the local restaurants and amenities. We were really impressed with Kyrenia as a holiday resort as it had some wonderful bars and restaurants as well as historic sites. We stayed in one of the Bare Hill... more
I booked my family holiday to North Cyprus on www.gonorthcyprus through Mandy. She totally understood what we were looking for and found us a little gem of a hotel in a perfect location. The Bare Hill Holiday Village is situated outside of Kyrenia town but is just a walk away from the local beach, restaurants and shops. It has stunning views and is very quiet which we liked. My family had two weeks staying in one of the Bare Hill bungalows. It was really spacious (each of our children had a bedroom... more
During August I flew out to North Cyprus for a business meeting and due to other things happening, I missed my flight back and found myself searching for somewhere to stay just overnight. Bare Hill Holiday village was suggested and when I arrived I couldn't believe how great value the place was. For the price, I really was expected something terrible or run down but Bare Hill was actually pretty decent. I wouldn't say high quality by a mile, but it certainly wasn't terrible either and for the price,... more

This summer I took my husband and our teenage daughter to Bare Hill Holiday Village as a celebration for or daughter's GCSE results. We wanted something special but were on a bit of a budget so Bare Hill was perfect. Although simple, the bungalows were clean and comfortable as well as being quite spacious. They were adequately kitted out but we didn't really have a need for the kitchen facilities. What we loved was the fact that the village was quite quiet and secluded, situated nearer the mountains... more
Bare Hill Holiday Village in North Cyprus is one of those places that you dream of going on your honeymoon – it's quiet, romantic, and the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful! Bare Hill offered us bungalows instead of rooms, which was perfect for maintaining privacy. The bungalows are large, airy, and comfortably furnished. The village grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of exotic plants and flowers, including several fruit trees bursting with fragrant fruit in the summer months. Nearby,... more
My partner and I took our two teenage children away to Nerthern Cyprus early in 2011 as a treat and a pick me up before my eldest takes her GCSEs. We were looking for cheap but comfortable and most of all relaxing. The Bare Hill Holiday Village bungalows were exactly that. They were surprisingly large and we were able to get two bungalows next to to one another so you could image the delight in my children having their own apartment! Although we booked room only, we were hoping to eat at the hotel;... more
We arrived at the hotel quite late at night and it felt a little creepy (as the kids put it) as it is relatively isolated and was incredibly quiet. However, upon waking up in the morning, the hotel gained a completely different atmosphere- one of tranquillity. The sun shone through our mountain view window and we knew that we had found a happy little haven. The rooms were not the most impressive part of our stay. They were basically decorated and not in the best condition. Despite this, they were... more

Myself, husband & son stayed at the Bare Hill back in Aug 2008 - it was a very unpleasant experience. We booked flights, transfers & accomodation separate & even though we had been e-mailing the management/owners of the Bare Hill for 2/3 months before ou stay - on arrival they simply looked surprised & asked if we were actually booked in.The room was adequate, however, for the first 2 days from arrival the toilet would not flush which is not pleasant in those temperatures - the owner advised us... more
This hotel turned out to be a fantastic find, to which I would very gladly return. I was happy to take residence in a clean, comfortable, air conditioned apartment overlooking the pool. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever encountered (at least in self-catering accommodation!) and there was a large shower area and more than adequate cooking facilities. Had I not been able to leave the room, I would hardly have suffered in my room.Bare Hill is ideally situated if you don't fancy hiring a... more
We travel to Northern Cyprus twice every year, we chose Bare Hill purely on location and cost as is was compatabile to what we are used to pay. On arrival the room was not ready and dirty. during our 3 week stay the bar was not open in the evenings. the room was not cleaned daily and the towels and bedding were only changed three times throughout our stay. We complained to the management only to have a mop and bucket dumped in the room to enable us to clean it ourselves. it is a shame as this could... more
Villa was roomy and had a large terrace facing the pool, decent kitchen and good shower. TV pretty much useless as all in Turkish - a DVD player would have been great to keep our kids amused when it was too hot to go out. Easy walk into Alsancak to eat at local restaurants or buy stuff from the supermarkets. Escape Beach Club was further than the two minute walk in the brochure, and you had to pay, but a clean beach with a snack bar etc which the kids enjoyed lots. Pool was clean and the terrace... more
