My wife and I stayed at Mountain View for a week, which we booked via gonorthcyprus.com. We'd never visited the region before but the staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay to the fullest. We had a nice bungalow that was clean and well maintained and the pool area is fabulous. The hotel's a short walk from the nearest supermarket which is handy but we rented a car to get around anyway. I recently stayed at Mountain View with my wife and our son who is two. Never been to this part of Cyprus before but we all had a great time. We found a deal on the gonorthcyprus website and were impressed with the reviews so booked in. We were given a warm welcome by the staff and had a very pleasant bungalow that was clean and well maintained. My wife and I booked a short break at Mountain View through gonorthcyprus, having read the good reviews left by others. I'm pleased to say that we weren't disappointed - the hotel was clean and well-kept and the staff greeted us politely and in a friendly way. We had a big room with a balcony and all the modcons, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, toiletries etc. The bed was comfortable and the location is peaceful, so we slept well. We arranged an out of season break through GoNorthCyprus.com and Gary in sales got us a very good deal. We were looking for somewhere fair to middling for a good price and we certainly found it in Mountain View. Our room was fairly standard but comfortable and we had a great pool view. As soon as I saw the pictures of the scenery on the GoNorthCyprus website, I had to book a break at the Mountain View Hotel. We got a great deal and Mandy in bookings made us feel completely at ease, arranging our transfers too so we had one less thing to worry about. The clue is in the name- the Mountain View Hotel, Kyrenia had the most incredible views of the stunning five finger mountains in North Cyprus. I spoke to Gary, one of the agents, who gave me some great advice about where to stay based on my family's needs. Everybody is writes that stuff is friendly there. But really I became tired of their fake smiles in Mountain View. It's so much seen, i don't understand how other guests cannot understand all false of this place. I remember that women which is smiling 24h to you and asking How are you? But when you say this is problem that is wrong, she says "Ohh, WOOW, Ahhh, Ouuu, ok i'll try to fix it". And that's all! Nothing changes. The hotel has a general run down appearance. The lift does not work and we are told that it has not worked for four months. It is advetised that there is WiFi but for the 8 days that we were there it was not working and we had to stand at the recption counter and plug into their computer. On two days our room was not serviced and on a thrid day we had to complain and then someone came and cleaned it. I stayed at Mountain View Hotel recently for the first time and I'm glad we did. I was quite impressed with this hotel. Having just returned from a fantastic ten day stay in Kyrenia, staying at the Mountain View Hotel I thought I'd get on here and let others know what a gem this place is if you're looking to relax, unwind and simply escape from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. I've just come back from my second holiday to Kyrenia, staying at the Mountain View and couldn't believe how quickly the time flew, I want to be back there now! The best thing about this hotel, aside from its value for money is the hospitality the friendly, family orientated staff give to every guest that walks through the door. I stayed there a few days, and it began to feel like home... the staff, the family, their treatment was warming and welcoming, the environment was relaxing and friendly. I particularly liked the reception, it had this feeling similar to the kind of living room i'm used to back at home, lol. I didn't want to leave when i had to, lol. the staff are really warm and extra friendly, a family giving you the feeling of home even when you're away from home. services are nice and prompt and in-house car hire. it's kinda like all you'd need once on a holiday. activities, such as Cyprus jeep safari or paragliding all makes the holiday near perfect in north Cyprus. thanks to Mountain View... it's all possible! i'd recommend it for anyone looking for a good holiday in Northern Cyprus.... more
We were recommended to Mountain View by somebody who stays frequently when in cyprus on business. Having stayed in a 4 star in May we thought we would try this hotel. We enjoyed it as it was very friendly and the staff are very helpful. We requested a bungalow as we felt it would be quieter then a hotel room.Although nice they could do with a bit updating. I have just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at the Mountain View Hotel. Without doubt I have to praise the staff and owners for ensuring that our stay went as smoothly as we hoped. The food(we stayed half board), was of great portions and good quality. My boyfriend and I just got back from a brilliant week at this hotel. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel so welcome by all the staff and the family who own the hotel. We stayed in a one bed bungalow which was spotlessly clean and just what we wanted. Read lots of reviews recently that have praised this hotel highly, but on my holiday I struggled to find much to write home about. The hotel doesn't look very welcoming to start with, a blocky frontage. Admittedly the view from the pool area of the mountains is nicer, but you have to be inside the hotel to see it. We found the staff so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel was spotlessly clean, the food in the restaurant was ok, breakfast a bit basic. Our family visited Kyrenia during the Christmas season. The hotel is just outside of Kyrenia. It was a bit isolated from things to do. On one side of the hotel were the mountains and the beach on the other. The views were gorgeous. Our family opted for their bungalow, with two rooms. It was not a five star hotel. I've been retired for five years, and enjoy travelling. I was told Kyrenia is a beautiful place to visit. I was in North Cyprus for a week, but the time seemed to fly by. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The staff was warm and kind. For a lonely guy it was nice to feel at home during my trip. The staff cleaned my room each day, cleaning it well. Went to this hotel with my gfriend for a week in December. We picked this hotel cos it was quite cheap but had some good reviews on the internet, so we thought we would give it a try. The waterfall when you walk in is really cool, and the pool was all lit up so it looks pretty impressive for a three star hotel. What could I possibly say about this lovely hotel that would do it justice? My husband and I had an absolutely lovely time there. We had never been to Cyprus before and I have to say it is a truly beautiful part of the world. Even in November the weather was very mild and a much needed bit of sunshine after the British cold.
