I'm a keen backpacker and always on the lookout for new places to explore on a budget. I came across the Bristol Hotel on the GoNorthCyprus website and just couldn't resist for the price, so I booked a week away. Yes the hotel is very basic but that's why it's so cheap and for me, it was sufficient. The room was clean and well kept, other than a place to turn in for the night I spent very little time here. The hotel is in a really good location in the heart of town, ideal for getting to know the... more
If you're looking for a cheap, no-frills break, the Bristol is a great option. My friend and I booked a break here to explore Girne and were really pleased with the price we received through gonorthcyprus.com. When we arrived we were welcomed by the staff and settled in nicely, yes the room is very basic but it's clean and functional. The beds are comfortable and there are toiletries in the bathroom. Everything worked fine although the lighting is quite dim. It's a place to rest your head every... more
I chose the Bristol Hotel for its location - the central spot was perfect for me as I wanted to explore Kyrenia without having to rely on costly taxis all the time. Staying at the Bristol meant I could get around largely on foot. I booked a break with gonorthcyprus and was pleased to find transfers included. The hotel is very basic but clean - no frills and the decor is dated, could do with a bit of attention but fine for me. Also, the staff are all very pleasant and polite, providing advice and... more
Gary at gonorthcyprus recommended the Bristol to us when we rang up looking for a budget base from which to explore North Cyprus. We're used to backpacking so no frills suits us fine and the Bristol was right up our street. Having never been to Cyprus before we wanted to explore, get to know Kyrenia and enjoy the Cypriot hospitality, the Bristol is excellently placed right in the middle of town, which makes getting around very easy. Don't expect any luxuries, you get what you pay for and at that... more
The Bristol is a clean and welcoming but basic hotel, so if it's functionality you're after rather than luxury, this place is ideal. I'm used to backpacking and I don't like to spend a lot on accommodation when travelling, so when I found the Bristol on the gonorthcyprus.com website it seemed ideal. My room was clean and practical for my needs without any frills - I expect this is why the prices are so low! Don't be put off though, the staff are really friendly, the breakfast is decent and the hotel's... more
The Bristol is, as the reviews suggest, cheap and cheerful. We've just returned from a short break booked through GoNorthCyprus.com, who got us a great deal. The accommodation is basic but totally satisfactory for the price, and the staff are really welcoming. As a base for exploring, the Bristol is ideally located, we wanted to be right in the action and the Bristol couldn't have been better placed. The staff were so kind and helpful, they gave us loads of ideas for excursions and the breakfast... more
For the first time ever I booked a last minute deal for my wife and I. After searching on www.gonorthcyprus, I decided to chat to one of their agents- Gary, who offered us an amazingly cheap deal to Kyrenia, staying at the Bristol Hotel. He was very helpful, and funny, and recommended lots of places to visit as well as great restaurants and his advice was much appreciated! As for the Bristol Hotel itself, there is little to complain about because it's a basic hotel at a basic price and it provided... more
The Bristol Hotel was just what we were looking for: cheap and cheerful, right in the centre of town. We stayed for a weekend. We just needed a base for a few nights and didn't want to pay over the odds, so the Bristol was right up our street. The staff were friendly and welcoming and our room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was perfectly adequate and set us up for a day of exploring. Being in the town centre meant we were close to many of the attractions we wanted... more
