Hi guys, I thought I'd add my take on the Rocks hotel in Northern Cyprus as my wife, my son and my eldest daughter booked to stay here for the Christmas period as we wanted to try something different this year. We booked with Go North Cyprus holidays as a few friends had done so the previous year and had good things to say about them. We dealt with a lady called Sue who worked in reservations (I think she was the reservations manager) and she gave us a list of several hotels that would suit our party well. We discussed what we were looking for and the Rocks Hotel was the one we finally decided on. As we were going to spend the whole Christmas period here, we all really hoped it would be as good as it sounded. When we arrived I was shocked by how clean the hotel was. Everywhere smelled really clean even though there were quite a number of guests coming and going. Not a single piece of litter to be seen either, which was a great sign as my family can be picky about hygiene, especially when we planned to eat here for the duration too. The staff were smiley and polite, (which always sets the tone in a hotel) and booked us in smoothly and efficiently. Our rooms were simply great. One had a sea view and the other was really big compared to what we were expecting. Again, these were very clean which made us much more comfortable. We found that Kyrenia harbour was only about a 10 to 15 minute stroll away and often stretched our legs after dinner. It was such a great trip and a real change to the hum-drum of a UK Christmas that we decided then and there to return to North Cyprus next year. Not sure if we'll even bother looking for a new hotel as we couldn't fault the Rocks Hotel
