Club Simena Review - 8 of 40 Reviews

My wife booked a short relaxing break which fell through at the last minute so we grabbed what we could in North Cyprus as we'd visited before and seemed to like it! The hotel we got was the Club Simena Hotel in Kyrenia. Here's what we really though of our 2 week trip and the hotel itself. Hopefully it will help others to make up their minds before booking.

Firstly I have to point out that the brochure and online advertises a gynasium, a sauna and pool tables. During the forst few days here we found out non of these facilities were available and worse still the courtesy bus wasnt running either. All these were big selling points when we originally started looking for somewhere to stay here. We also had a small issue with the aircon that continuously broke down and sometimes even blew hot air out into the room. We complained about this twice and eventually we were moved to another room which had working facilities thankfully.

I didnt think that the food was too bad really considering the price, but many guests were upset that the same food was being served several days in a row. This didnt give much choice but it did seem to be clean and hygenic which is often a very important consideration. The staff here were couteous enough and tried to be helpful most of the time, i just think this place is geared up for the summer months and winds down during the cooler off season.
