We booked two days before travelling, having never been to North Cyprus before. On arrival at Club Simena, we were pleasantly surprised, the accommodation is large and clean, the beds comfortable, set around the two large swimming pools, one with three large slides to keep the children busy. It is in a peaceful, quiet area, the only noise really being the road outside, which unless you live in a totally rural location at home, most people are used to a bit of road noise, but you don't notice this when in your accommodation. We found the staff in Club Simena to be friendly and welcoming, and any requests were met with a positive response. The breakfast is fine, with fresh bread, boiled eggs, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber etc, plus cereal., fresh fruit, help yourself to as much as you want. Don't expect bacon, sausages etc., as they don't provide english breakfast. The rooms were cleaned and tidied every day, plus fresh towels., air conditioning was provided free of charge, when we stayed, and you do need this on at night.

Overall, we were more than happy with our stay at Club Simena, and would definitely go back, well worth what we paid, it's not luxury, but clean, spacious, comfortable and friendly. The only thing I would say is they could provide a bit more entertainment in the evenings, as there was only Karaoke when we were there, and you get sick of listening to the same bad singers. They have the room, and facilities, felt they could have laid on a bit more, as it is a quiet area, you do need a car if you want to go into Kyrenia, for a few more Restaurants, Bars etc., as the buses stop running from the town early in the evening, (or did so in June, when we went). Club Simena is well worth a visit, they say you get what you pay for, and we feel we definitely did with our holiday.

Liked — the rooms, clean, spacious, the layout, the pools, the backdrop of the mountains
Disliked — only thing I can fault is the curtains, too flimsy, let in light, wake up at dawn
