Gary at Go North Cyprus found my family an excellent deal to stay at the Hotel Club Simena and we've just returned. We had a really excellent holiday and absolutely loved North Cyprus! Compared with other holiday destinations, it remains relatively unspoilt by tourists and had very few tacky tourist shops.

The Hotel Club Simena itself was comfortable and the rooms were spacious. It was very reasonable so we couldn't expect anything too plush, but it did cater for my family's needs and was always very clean. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and very nice to our children.

We stayed in a holiday villa which for us was perfect as it had a little bit more space than a hotel room. It was on a split level which the kids loved because they had their own 'floor.' We had a beautiful mountain view from our villa, which was definitely a plus point.

The hotel facilities were good. We'd read a review about the pool being dirty but it certainly wasn't when we were there. In fact the pool was a blessing, considering we were quite far away from other activities.

The food at the hotel was really well priced but wasn't great for our children as most of it was very traditional local dishes. My partner and I loved tasting something diverse and new but I have to say that we did feed the children up on bread a lot! The reason we had so many main meals at the hotel complex was that we were so far away from the heart of everything. Although there were a few local shops and restaurants, the main places to visit, such as Kyrenia, were a taxi or bus ride away. This made things difficult and more expensive for us.
