We stayed at the Salamis Bay last month and absolutely loved it!

Before going we were warned that this part of North Cyprus was particularly desolate and therefore that we would be stuck with things to do. I responded to this by saying: 'isn't that why you go on holiday?!' We were fully prepared for a week of relaxation and nothingness in a beautiful place. The place was stunning and the hotel was situated in an great location with amazing views. As for not having things to do, if we wanted to we could've filled every day up with something. Although the hotel is fairly isolated (and this is a good thing!) the nearby town of Salamis is only a short drive away and is filled with fantastic restaurants and traditional buildings etc. The hotel itself also has its own leisure facilities with a very warm and relaxing indoor pool! We did wonder down to the beech on a couple of occasions but it wasn't particularly well-kept, I think it was probably due to it being off-season.

The hotel rooms were great and the beds were really comfortable. They were also very well kept and it was spotlessly clean on arrival. My husband and I also enjoyed the fact that we had a minibar. What we loved the most were the sea views which showed a natural vista rather than rows up row of sun-loungers.

The staff were friendly, sometimes a little too obliging but I think they were just trying to make us feel welcome. The food was also cooked to a good standard, with a reasonable choice. We certainly didn't have any complaints about it.
