“This (so called) 5 star Hotel would struggle to receive 2 stars”

A very disappointing stay. The Hotel is old, tired . They somehow think because guests have arrived All Inclusive that they haven't paid! The service is poor and drinks etc. are thrown at you. The quality of the drinks was terrible and like drinking paint stripper so paying AI is not worth it . There is a queue for breakfast and dinner as 1500 or more people file into 1 restaurant. Salamis has put a new block of bedrooms at the back and what serves these is an aqua pool so everybody uses the same over stretched restaurant which was not big enough to start with. It's a fight for a sun bed at the pool and the beach and the beds are broken and dirty. The pool furniture too was broken and dirty.

When coming down EARLY in the morning to find a place to use, the tables had not been cleaned the floor at the pool had not been cleaned and most mornings the bins were full from . enough to use. My first week there was worse as there didn't seem to be any management doing their jobs. The food was the same old buffet day in and day out with no other choice served in what can only be described as a canteen. My air-conditioning didn't work and I had to report it 3 times and eventually an engineer came to fix it when all the electrics went off in the room at 02.00. The guys doing the photos are rude and looking to rip people off as they try to get what they can for their photos. The reception staff are rude and some of the waiters need to go for retraining. I don't think anyone was happy with the volume of people and lack of facilities. This was not a relaxing holiday and the worse holiday I have ever experienced. I take 3 or 4 holidays a year and go to many different countries and have done for years. Some people I met there paid AI and went out after breakfast as they didn't want to stay there and they didn't have dinner or lunch or drinks at the Hotel.
