I've just returned from a trip to North Cyprus and am so pleased I picked it as a holiday destination! I've never been to Cyprus before but heard that the North is stunningly beautiful and since going, I believe that to be totally the truth! I spoke to Sue from Go North Cyprus and she suggested a few hotels which suited my family's needs and I picked the Salamis Bay after reading reviews. I thought the hotel was just fantastic. It had everything we needed, including a lovely indoor pool and spa area and was very clean throughout.

The hotel restaurant was brilliant. The food was hot and tasty and there were so many dishes to choose from. It is set out in a canteen style which doesn't suit everyone, but after a long day, when you're really hungry, it's much quicker and easier to go up and help yourself rather than wait for someone to take your order and then cook your food!

Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very clean, which is something I have found is often lacking in European hotels. The only complaint I did have was the lack of air conditioning. We made do with the windows open but I could imagine that in the height of the summer it could be a nightmare!

The hotel is situated in the Famagusta area, which is steeped in history. There was so much to see without even taking a trip to the beach, that we were literally non-stop for most of the days!

Overall, our stay was excellent. It was made even better by the superb weather we had. I would definitely visit the area again and probably stay in the Salamis Bay Conti, as long as I was assured that my room would be air conditioned!
