Salamis Bay Conti Hotel Review - 23 of 44 Reviews

Our stay was extremely pleasant and we would recommend the hotel to anyone considering a holiday in Northern Cyprus. Even though we went there at a particularly unattractive time of the year, and were not able to enjoy the full range of available attractions such as swimming in sea or the beach, we had a good time. The hotel is located about 15 minutes north of Famagusta, and is very close to magnificent, yet not very well known Salamis Ruins. Make sure you spare enough time to see it all. They close at 5pm. For those willing to travel to the south the border crossing is very close and the drive to Ayia Napa on the southern coast is approximately 40 min.

As far as the hotel is concerned, there is a large lobby with plentiful seating area and drinks available all day long although, it has to be said, the all inclusive concept was only limited to local drinks, including only one type of beer (which was good nevertheless), raki, and fairly low quality wine and spirits. The food was available three times a day through on open buffet and had enough choices not to become boring after a week. Between the meals there were also other options so one would never get hungry. Our only reservation would be the quality of room service. The rooms are not cleaned on a regular basis, something that should be expected of a 5 star hotel, and the cleaning staff were not exactly nice. Overall though, the hotel staff were nice and helpful. When we requested that our room is changed that was not a problem.

Go North Cyprus is a good company, with excellent customer service and competitive prices. We are happy to have arranged our holidays through them and will consider using their services in the future.
