Salamis Bay Conti Hotel Review - 17 of 44 Reviews

I stayed at Salamis Bay Conti Hotel recently for a few days. I have to agree with the other reviews that say it's way below 5 stars. This hotel is maybe 3 stars, definitely no more, although they advertise themselves as being a 5 star hotel. The Salamis Bay Conti hotel seems a bit run-down to me (furniture and carpeting are pretty worn and everything seems outdated) and the air conditioning didn't work in my room. In addition, the food wasn't great either, although I've had worse. On the upside, the hotel does sit right on the beach, which for me is a plus as I love to spend time on the beach rather than at the pool. The pool here is pretty nice though, so if you do prefer the pool, you'll have no complaints with this one. Also, in spite of the run-down shape of the hotel, my room was spotless and they did a good job of keeping it clean during my stay in north cyprus.

Since I'm relatively easy to please and don't require anything fancy (just a clean room and a comfortable bed), I'm not complaining, plus I've stayed in North Cyprus enough to know that most hotels aren't 5 star here, even though many advertise themselves as such, so I wasn't disappointed. However, if I was expecting a 5 star hotel, I'd have been pretty upset. The price was right, so if you're looking for good value, this hotel does provide that; just be aware that 5 star ratings here in North Cyprus usually mean 3 star anywhere else.

I would recommend the Salamis Bay Conti hotel to others, but only as a good value and would provide a good description in addition to my recommendation.
