Denizkizi Royal Hotel Review - 9 of 44 Reviews

There are two Deniziki hotels; one is three stars the other four. They are both right next to each other, we stayed at the three star hotel. I found the hotel through Go North Cyprus, and they were very accurate in their description of it. We stayed in a small room, number 230 to be precise, it is not one of the rooms with a balcony, but that doesn't really matter because the balconies are so small that you can't sit out on them, they are more for hanging your clothes out to dry. Despite the size of the room, it was still extremely comfortable.

It is a very well kept building; it has a private beach close by that is available to all paying members of the public and it is a nice place to chill out and relax.

One of my major complaints is the food and the room service. The breakfast is the same everyday and it really isn't anything to write home about. I stopped eating breakfast there and started eating out after my first day. The dinners are just as bad, we went to restaurants in the local area, but the food was very sub standard. As for the room service, well it's simply a rip off, we asked for sugar to put in our tea and we were charged for it. I have never been charged for something that is usually free of charge.

The nicest meal that I ate was some duck at one of the local restaurants, it was quite dry but better than everything else that I had previously eaten. I just don't think that this area offers very good food; you may be better off going into another town to satisfy your hunger.

There is not really much to do where the hotel is located, it is extremely boring, if you want to have any fun you will have to take a trip to Girne which is about 20 minutes away.

In general the staff were very friendly; they did their best to accommodate us. They even understood that we were not happy with the food and allowed us to bring in food that we had purchased from the local supermarket. You will find that many hotels in North Cyprus do not allow this.
