Denizkizi Royal Hotel Review - 33 of 44 Reviews

We booked half board and arrived late evening having requested food to be waiting as the hotel restaurant would be shut, only to find no food. We were told they did not know anything about our request (although they knew we would be coming late from the UK) and told kitchen was closed. They suggested we walk 400 metres to local supermarket to buy food! We found a local bar/restaurant which had shut down its ovens but kindly did us a pizza each. Returned to hotel to find they had magically managed to make us sandwiches - too late!!! Promised two rooms with inter-connecting doors but no rooms of that type available during our stay. Other than these two things (the food was the biggest) we had a happy and enjoyable stay. Friendly staff and well cooked food although very 'samey', need more variation, and always, but always, lukewarm, never hot. I would not rate the Denizkizi Royal as 4 stars. All meals, drinks etc. served in the 3 star hotel - do not know why 4 stars to the Royal, other than that building has balconies. Beach, pool and beach bar are very good and the beach bar serves excellent meals in the daytime - closed at night. If you like a walk after your evening meal, there is nowhere to walk to. Although parts of the beach are lit up at night the road down to it is not, so take a torch!!
