“The Denziki Hotel in North Cyprus”
Firstly I'd like to start by thanking our booking agent, Sue (gonorthcyprus.com) for all the help and advice she gave me booking up a group of 6 pensioners – no easy task in itself! The group had voted to visit northern cyprus and Sue had suggested the hotel to be one which would be suitable for us. Our group were all pensioners but all individually self sufficient so the group wanted to be close to one another but also have an element of privacy. We booked at the Denziki Hotel (there were actually two hotels near one another and we were staying in the three star hotel). The rooms we found to be a little on the small side, but not so much that it would have caused a problem. I imagine younger people or families may not have even noticed that the rooms were slightly smaller than other hotels. Some rooms had balconies but they weren't really accessible to sit outside on due to the size. Regardless of this the rooms were really comfortable and suited us fine. The inside of the Denziki Hotel was very clean and well decorated. It was obvious the hotel took pride in its appearance and the staff made sure everything was in good order. As a group we ate in the hotel for breakfast and evening meals, then did our own thing at lunch time as we were often on excursions and trips. The breakfasts were very much what you may expect. Nothing great but similarly nothing to complain about. The buffet style offerings were the same each day but we didn't mind too much. The evening meals had a few more options and did vary somewhat but again, very standard. There is a beach nearby which is exclusive to the hotel but we didn't realise this until a few days in. We spent most of our time on trips around so we did travel the area quite a bit. It was fairly busy but I was surprised at the number of people in the hotel due to the time of year. There weren't many young people around so this may be worth considering if you're thinking of the Denziki as your north cyprus base.
Liked — great for the older generation
Disliked — food was good but same each day
