The clue is in the name- the Mountain View Hotel, Kyrenia had the most incredible views of the stunning five finger mountains in North Cyprus. I booked our family holiday off season through GoNorthCyprus.com. Although I didn't specify that we'd like a mountain view, the booking agent, Gary, recommended the Mountain View Hotel as it's a family run business and very good value for money. The fact that when we got there, we had such an amazing view was literally an added bonus! We can definitely say that as a result of the views we will be sure to return. We will also book through GoNorthCyprus again as Gary was so helpful and personable.

The hotel itself isn't your plush five star standard but everything is very clean and well presented. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed. My daughter was also pretty impressed by the free Turkish delights in the room on arrival! Apart from its views, the Mountain View's biggest plus point is its customer service and attention to detail. Being a family run business, you can tell that the owners really care about their guests. The only negative I had was that there were quite a few dogs and cats around the hotel complex and although they didn't seem threatening in any way, I could imagine that it might put some guests off.

We absolutely loved Kyrenia. The Mountain View is relatively close to the local town, with shops and excellent quality restaurants. There's a bus service that runs close to the hotel so anywhere we couldn't reach by foot, we could easily get to by bus. I can definitely say we will be back to Kyrenia in the near future but will hope to go when the weather is a little better to make the most of the outdoor pool and beautiful hotel gardens.
