We arrived at the hotel quite late at night and it felt a little creepy (as the kids put it) as it is relatively isolated and was incredibly quiet. However, upon waking up in the morning, the hotel gained a completely different atmosphere- one of tranquillity. The sun shone through our mountain view window and we knew that we had found a happy little haven.

The rooms were not the most impressive part of our stay. They were basically decorated and not in the best condition. Despite this, they were very clean and the air conditioning was good. We were also really pleased to have a fridge in our room.

We were self catering at the hotel and found everything we needed and shops were nearby. However, most of the time,we visited the nearby town of Alsancak and had fun trying out all of the different restaurants- these were excellent, especially the restaurants who varied their menus according to the ingredients available that day. The fresh fish was beautiful.

The nearby town of Alsancak was very beautiful and the views surrounding the area were quite special. It was quite a trek to get to Kyrenia so we only visited once, but that was steeped in History and was equally as beautiful.

The hotel grounds really fitted the surrounding views. There were gorgeous fruit trees and groves which had the most fantastic smell,making it a real treat to sit around the pool and relax. Although there were beautiful beaches nearby, we did spend a lot of time around the pool because it felt really safe for the kids and because the staff (particularly the manager) were so obliging and friendly.

If we are looking for a cheap, relaxing holiday, we would definitely visit again!
