Bare Hill Holiday Village Review - 7 of 27 Reviews

My partner and I took our two teenage children away to Nerthern Cyprus early in 2011 as a treat and a pick me up before my eldest takes her GCSEs. We were looking for cheap but comfortable and most of all relaxing. The Bare Hill Holiday Village bungalows were exactly that. They were surprisingly large and we were able to get two bungalows next to to one another so you could image the delight in my children having their own apartment!

Although we booked room only, we were hoping to eat at the hotel; this wasn't really an option so we spent every evening except one in Alsancak Village. This was brilliant because it was so quaint and traditional, a really great northern cyprus experience . We were really pleased that we gave our daughters a traditional holiday as opposed to a brit abroad experience. They, on the other hand, weren't as impressed as they weren't keen on a lot of the meal choices and found it all a little too quiet.

The days had more to offer. We made the most of our stay and visited just about every place in the area we could, either by bus or on foot. We found some gorgeous beaches and some incredible views. In fact, we managed to tire our kids out so much that they didn't really have chance to complain about nothing to do in the evenings at the Bare Hill Holiday Village!

One thing that my partner really liked was the incredible grounds of the hotel and you could imagine that in the summer, the scent of the fruits growing on the trees would really add to the Mediterranean atmosphere.

I would most definitely stay at the Bare Hill again but perhaps minus the children and probably during some of the hotter months so we could enjoy sunbathing on the gorgeous North Cyprus beaches.
