Bare Hill Holiday Village Review - 3 of 27 Reviews

This hotel turned out to be a fantastic find, to which I would very gladly return. I was happy to take residence in a clean, comfortable, air conditioned apartment overlooking the pool. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever encountered (at least in self-catering accommodation!) and there was a large shower area and more than adequate cooking facilities. Had I not been able to leave the room, I would hardly have suffered in my room.

Bare Hill is ideally situated if you don't fancy hiring a car. There are two well stocked supermarkets, three different beaches and many restaurants within easy walking distance, even for the older folks among you. A bus from Dolmus to Kyrenia can be found up outside Bare Hill and only costs 2 lira.

Cemal and Ali (the hotel managers) are charming, helpful hosts - if you need anything at all, from additional crockery, to information on local amenities, takeaway pizza or car hire, you only need ask. There was a really broad range of nationalities and age groups staying at the hotel whilst we were there. This made for an excellent atmosphere and there was always someone around to talk to. A really good base either to just relax and enjoy the sun, or to explore this side of the island.

Would recommend Dostlar, London Turan (set meal here - whatever has been prepared that day) and Severner restaurants. However, if these aren't to your tastes then I can guarantee you'll find something more suitable just a short walk away.
