Bare Hill Holiday Village Review - 9 of 27 Reviews

This summer I took my husband and our teenage daughter to Bare Hill Holiday Village as a celebration for or daughter's GCSE results. We wanted something special but were on a bit of a budget so Bare Hill was perfect. Although simple, the bungalows were clean and comfortable as well as being quite spacious. They were adequately kitted out but we didn't really have a need for the kitchen facilities.

What we loved was the fact that the village was quite quiet and secluded, situated nearer the mountains and being surrounded by beautiful gardens. Our daughter might say otherwise as I'm sure she would've preferred a bit of nightlife but the idea of the holiday was supposed to be a relaxing treat.

We were lucky to be staying at Bare Hill as there were 3 stunning beaches for us to choose from, all a walking distance away. Our daughter spent most of her time on the beach and we felt that it was safe to let her go alone as the village was so close. Whilst on the beach, we sat in the gardens sipping cocktails and taking in the scent of the Mediterranean plants.

The hotel pool wasn't over-crowded but there were quite a few children splashing around which put us off slightly.

We dined at the hotel restaurant on a couple of occasions and found the food adequate but I have to say we much preferred dining out, especially in Kyrenia (even though it was a taxi journey away.) We were really impressed with the variety of traditional restaurants Kyrenia had to offer as well as its pretty harbour.
