Villa Club Holiday Village Review - 5 of 19 Reviews

We spent a lovely week in a mini villa at “The Villa Club” hotel in Northern Cyprus. There's a high and consistent level of customer service at The Villa Club and a fastidious approach to cleaning that go nicely hand-in-hand. The rooms themselves were nicely kitted out (good internet access) and most importantly contained a bed I could sleep in comfortably.

There are gardens surrounding the hotel which I found very pleasing to look at and walk around. As a gardener myself I like to think I can get some idea of the level of work the Villa Club's gardener must put in annually, which must be rather high.

Everything is very easily accessible from the hotel's location by bus or by foot. We gather there is a car rental place nearby too but we do enough driving at home to warrant the use of public transport whilst we're on holiday. There are several beaches nearby, ranging from nearly deserted to incredibly busy depending on your preference.

In my opinion, if you're planning to eat out, it's very much worth getting a bus into Kyrenia central to take advantage of the massive variety you can find there rather than the few very local places scattered about.

On that note, although we only ate breakfast at the Villa Club, we were really impressed with it having had some unpleasant experiences in the past with hotel food. Everything at least seemed to have been made fresh that morning and breakfast doesn't finish absurdly early like it does at some places. Handy for a hangover! The pool was mostly quite empty for the duration of our holiday, and we generally prefer the sea anyway, but if poolside lounging is your sort of thing then I suppose it looked very nice!
