We LOVED this hotel! I can't say enough good things about Sammy's Hotel, in fact. The staff is marvelous. From day one, we were treated as though we were royalty and given all kinds of extras. We'd booked a full month in North Cyprus, so upon check-in, they gave us a free upgrade to a suite, even though we'd only paid for a regular room. They explained that since we were staying a month, they wanted us to be comfortable.

The room itself was very clean, and was kept spotless throughout our stay. We had a marvelous view from our balcony and we spent quite a bit of time on the balcony in fact, relaxing with a cocktail as we took in the scenery.

The food in Sammys Hotel was excellent and the waiters were efficient. Never once did we have to ask for extra napkins, water, or refills on drinks. We'd paid for only bed and breakfast, but because the food was so good, we ate quite a few of our lunches and our evening meals in the hotel dining room as well, rather than go offsite. We knew we would get excellent service as well as great food, so often we preferred the hotel's dining room over other restaurants in the area. The waiters also did a good job of taking care of us at the pool area whenever we spent time there, and brought us drinks and snacks upon request.

The only negative is the fact that the hotel doesn't provide towels for the pool free of charge. You can bring your own or the hotel will provide them for a fee, but since everything else at Sammy's was so exemplary, I wouldn't let such a minor thing keep me from booking here again. I do plan to book next year's vacation at Sammy's Hotel, as we had such a wonderful time in Northern Cyprus.
