Sammy's Hotel Review - 7 of 23 Reviews

The staff at Sammy's were truly wonderful. We arrived for our holiday very late in the evening, after most people would have gone to bed, but the staff at Sammy's were waiting for us and did everything they could to get us comfortable and settled. Our room was exceptionally clean and the cleaning staff was very thorough during our stay as well and made sure we were kept in clean towels and our bed was changed regularly. In fact, the whole hotel seemed ultra-clean, including the pool.

As for the pool area, I loved the swim-up bar. However, if you are sitting in a lounge chair, the waiters make the rounds regularly and will bring your drink to you so that you don't have to get up.

Overall, Sammy's Hotel provides excellent accommodation in Northern Cyprus as well as superb service. And the location is great too. The town of Kyrenia is very popular in north cyprus and has a lot to offer as far as entertainment, plus numerous restaurants, so if you are like us and enjoy eating somewhere different each night, it's ideal. The harbour area is beautiful. We spent many evenings admiring the beauty of this area. Also the locals are friendly but not overly pushy, so that's a plus, and makes sightseeing a fun experience.

The abbey is a must-see as well and there's a nearby town called Bellapais that is very picturesque and worth the trip, just to see its quaintness. There were lots of blooming flowers all over town on our trip and we couldn't get enough of the breathtaking scenery this town offers. We also took in a visit to Escape Island. There is a small charge in order to use a private beach but totally worth it. I'd definitely recommend this area as a vacation spot and Sammy's Hotel as the place to stay while visiting northern cyprus.
