My family of four stayed in a hotel on the Greek side of the island for three nights. We wanted to make a surprise visit to extended family members, so we went over to the Turkish side for another three nights.

Our rooms were a nice size and we were glad of the air conditioning and the fridge. We had no complaints whatsoever regarding the hotel and everything was clean and reasonably priced. Breakfast is served from 8am until 11am but it tends to run out around 10am. The kitchen staff makes a fresh breakfast for latecomers anyway. The hotel staff has excellent English.

While we were there, we were the only ones at the swimming pool, which was fantastic. It wasn't very big but it was clean and there were plenty umbrellas and sunbeds.

The location is just a 25 minute walk to the harbour and the town, perhaps a little longer if it's very hot. We enjoyed the terrific food, which was reasonably priced, at a British café bar on the main street called Molly's. Going five minutes in the opposite direction, we found the Pia Bella Hotel. It's lovely and they put on entertainment every evening for residents and non-residents too.

This is a return visit to the north side of the island for me and I always have a wonderful time. I think it is gorgeous without being too commercial or busy. I will come here again because I like to relax on holiday in fantastic weather and I can find a quiet place for something to eat or drink. I highly recommend it and the north side is less expensive than the south too.
