Riverside Holiday Village Review - 5 of 30 Reviews

It is hard to write this review because some people might really like this kind of hotel, but it wasn't right for us at all. I was on holiday with my friends, and as soon as we arrived at the hotel it was clear that it was full of mostly families. The pool was nice but again, there were tons of noisy kids around. There was a separate pool just for swimming though, which meant that we could go for a dip without having to dodge the balls and inflatables. If you do go on holiday to Cyprus with kids then this is probably a really good hotel for you, because there are even some water flumes. We did like the jacuzzi, but it was a bit hot for it at the time of year we went. The apartment was clean and fine, but a bit basic. The local area is a bit of a walk away – maybe half an hour- and quite quiet, and we all just spent the holiday sunbathing and having a bit of a laugh in the bar. The staff were all super friendly, and I can't say a bad word about them. The restaurant at the hotel had some pretty nice food, although nothing very 'local'. I would say that if you want a nice sunbathing holiday with friends then go off season when there are less kids, and don't go if you want to go shopping and clubbing, as there isn't much of that. If you have kids then you should check it out, as they will probably love it.
