Oscar resort hotel is a lovely hotel in a great position. You can walk into Kyrenia (Girne) harbour in about 20 minutes, although the area is quite rundown, but doesn't feel unsafe. We were a family group of eight and had a few issues with leaking sinks in the room when we first arrived, but everything was sorted out within a few hours. The rooms were very clean and our split level club gallery was extremely spacious. It also had one of the nicest views, over the wave pool and out to sea. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but room service was available and the bars did a lovely coffee anyway. The pool bar staff and the food was excellent. Prices were slightly higher than outside, as you would expect in a hotel, but still great value.

The reception area was lovely but the outside areas in the grounds and around the pools could do with some maintenance. For example, there were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas but a lot of the umbrellas were broken. The tables and sunbeds could have done with a wipe down each evening and the outside area could do with a sweep up and tidy up a little more regularly. There didn't seem to be enough people on the ground to keep the quality up to spec. It wasn't terrible, but feel it could do with some action taken now to ensure it doesn't deteriorate too much in the future.

That said, I would recommend the hotel and we enjoyed our stay.
