Oscar Resort Hotel Review - 68 of 79 Reviews

After taking a break for a couple of years we decided to return to N Cyprus. A friend told me about the Go North Cyprus website and I must say they were excellent. Not having been for a while I gave them a call with a couple of questions and they were brilliant. Between us we decided that the Oscar Resort in Kyrenia best suited our needs, and I am eternally grateful for help and advice. From the moment we arrived we felt like family. This great resort has 3 lovely pools, plenty of trees and green areas, and one of the best entertainment teams I've come across. Big rooms, wonderful employees and gorgeous food and drink; what more could you ask for! The restaurant deserves a special mention for its beautiful terrace which looks out over the sea.

The hotel is around 1.5km away from the centre of town, it takes 5 mins in a car or 25 mins to walk it. The hotel operates a free shuttle service 3 times a day. We walked it once but it was way too hot so used the bus from then on. The only complaints I heard from other guests was about the beach, or more specifically how you get into the sea. It's really shallow and there's a harbour close by. Sea swimmers would maybe prefer another hotel but as splashing about in the pool in the nearest I get to swimming on holiday this didn't bother me one iota. The beach is lovely for sunbathing and very quiet out of high season. Do I recommend this hotel? You bet I do! Will I return? You bet I will!
