we booked our holiday at the last minute, and were not disappointed! Our room, with balcony, overlooked the mountains and the sea out towards Bellapais abbey, and was flooded with sunlight from early morning. The layout of the hotel is perfect, with the dining room & area overlooking Kyrenia, and the pool laid out alongside it, again with beautiful panoramic views of the mountains and Kyrenia harbour. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help and make you relax - never pushy but always on hand when you wanted them. The hotel is situated just outside the main town area, up towards the mountains, but taxis are easily arranged and not expensive. Meals in the Hotel were good if occasionally repetitive, and meals down in Kyrenia were excellent. I made the mistake of leaving my driving licence in my car back at Manchester airport, so could not venture as far as we would have liked, but instead found that the pool area was the perfect place for a well deserved relaxing holiday. The Onar Village is one of the few places we have visited, that we would be happy to return to, and our satisfaction with the hotel was in no small way due the the Manager who spent time talking with us, making sure that everything was to our satisfaction and went out of his way to be of help, which reflected in the way his entire staff interacted with the guests. A good place in the Mediterranian sun, to relax and enjoy !
