“Nice Place, Not So Great Service”
I had a wonderful time in Cyprus. The Mercure Hotel was adequate with a very enticing pool and beach area. The grounds surrounding the hotel are very well kept. The view from my suite was of the sea which was very relaxing. It was comprised of a bedroom and a sitting room. The fitness centre was first rate with an offering of Turkish Baths. I enjoyed the cuisine that the hotel had to offer as well as the surrounding area restaurants. The only deterrent I found was the loud Turkish pop music that must blast one's ears drums. It puts a pall on the enjoyment of the beautiful pool area. They might want to improve the quality of the reception staff, however, as they aren't very helpful.
Liked — suite, pool and beach
Disliked — poor reception staff, noise
