Manolya Hotel Review - 5 of 20 Reviews

I decided to take my kids away as a school holiday treat but like most families, we were on a budget! I'd heard that North Cyprus was cheaper than other resorts so decided to book the Manolya as it seemed to be reasonably priced and had enough facilities to amuse my eager children. Before I went I basically said to myself that even if the accommodation wasn't great, it was the break we would enjoy. However, I didn't need to worry, when we arrived, we were really impressed with the accommodation as well as the very friendly and attentive staff.

What sets the hotel apart from others (and probably makes it better than perhaps some higher end hotels) is the attention to detail offered by the staff and hotel manager. They were always so willing to help and offer advice about where to visit and kept the rooms imacculately clean every day.

The hotel pool was great and the nearby beach was small but clean.The kids had a fantastic time which is all I can ask for. We caught the bus on a couple of occasions to places such as Lamboussa, which offered historical sites and quaint shops. Kyrenia is such a beautiful place, even my children were quite happy just to walk around in the sunshine and lap it all up.

The only complaint I could have was the food. It was clean and well presented but lacked variety. Some dishes were a little obscure which didn't appeal to my kids but I did enjoy having a taste of Cyprus. If I get the chance, I will definitely visit this hotel again. It gave us everything we were looking for in a summer holiday and the staff made us feel so welcome. Another bonus was its fantasic value for money.
