Hotel Sempati Review - 2 of 30 Reviews

I loved the Sempati, a cool-looking hotel with nice rooms that had views to the sea. I stayed for a week and wished I could have stayed for another. I swam every day in the pool, and the staff even put my towel on the sun lounger - amazing! My room was really cool and light, and had a balcony so you could sit out with a beer and chill. I loved eating breakfast outside - lots of good things to eat like cheese and meats, but you had to pay extra if you wanted English breakfast. I tried the local restaurant the Asmali which did great meze and served red local wines which were pretty good for the price. I also went to Sveltos' place one lunchtime, which was great. You can't really walk to anything from the hotel apart from restaurants and a small beach, but I didn't mind much because I just wanted to laze in the sunshine. You can catch a bus into Kyrenia but I didn't fancy the 30 min journey as it was a local minibus and I don't speak turkish! Unless there was a good crowd in the bar it could be a bit quiet at night, and the band were boring, but there was a pool table and internet if you got bored. I also tried a day's scuba diving with Drew from Turtle Bay Divers, which was wicked fun as I'd never dived before. We got to dive in the sea too, which was awesome, although the fish seemed to stay away from me!!

I'd love to go back to north Cyprus, but go to another hotel with its own beach and more going on at night.
