High Life Holiday Village Review - 3 of 22 Reviews

I wouldn't normal categorise myself as a family holiday type of person, but I had an invite to take a short trip with my friend and her children as her partner had to pull out at very late notice and she didn't want to disappoint the children. I don't mind saying that having known nothing about the hotel, I was anxious as to what sort of place it would be. Thankfully I was relieved to see that the High Life Holiday Village was quite suitable for all of us. It wasn't anything fantastic but it was certainly clean and very tidy looking inside. We'd chosen to stay half board and the food was impressive. There was always plenty and the quality was nothing to be complained about. You could eat your food on the terrace too which was a nice touch and had a good view to top it off.

Having two children with us, we were quite limited as to what and where we could go at night. We eat out once or twice but had to make it early because the children tended to tire quickly. To get out and about we used local taxis as the hotel is hidden away, which meant it was also fairly quiet. We took the children on the beach closest to the hotel, it wasn't very hot but they enjoyed just being there as we live nowhere near the coast back home. I did notice some litter and rubbish on the sand but a local lady I spoke to said that this is an unfortunate familiar site on the beaches here.

Another great idea that was suggested to us was the hiring of a car for a day or two which allowed us to drive into the nearby mountains. It was a new experience to us all and the little ones behaved very well indeed! I do feel that the High Life Holiday Village is much better suited to families than couples or the older generation, but I would like to return in the hotter months at some point in the future.
