I was treated to several days at the Cratos Hotel recently by my fiancé and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'd been to northern cyprus before and thought it was fantastic. As we pulled in and began getting out of the car, some of the staff rushed out to help us with our baggage. What a great first impression! Inside, we were awed by the opulence of this hotel. The furnishings were exquisite and the marble was spotless. We were greeted warmly by the reception clerk and a porter ushered us to our room and helped us get settled.

Our room was larger than usual for a hotel and the bed was soft and comfortable. We found everything to be in working order and kept up to standard and beyond. The hotel also offers a spa, gym, casino and lounges for entertainment. In the winter months, the beach area doesn't have much to offer and although the harbour area is teaming with nightlife, if you don't feel like getting out, there is still plenty to do inside the hotel. The casino is luxurious – maybe not as luxurious as the lobby – but impressive enough that it's obvious they cater to high rollers here. They book performers also, in the casino, so there's entertainment there as well, besides the gambling.

The spa at the Cratos Premium Hotel is great! I had a facial and a massage while here. My boyfriend spent some time in the gym and reported that it was well maintained and that all of the equipment seemed to be in good working order.

The food in the hotel dining room was awesome. We especially liked the breakfast buffet. We didn't eat many lunches or dinners in the dining room, as we spent most of our time at the harbour, but on the occasions that we did, it was really delicious food. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place for a few days away. I've heard the nearby beach in the summer is teeming with entertainment, although we didn't get to see firsthand, as our holiday was during the winter months, but we hope to come back to north cyprus later in the summer.
