We were really disappointed with our stay at the Bogaz Hotel, in fact at one stage we contemplated leaving early! We didn't have really high expectations of the hotel but you do expect a certain standard when going on holiday, particularly when the hotel has 3 stars and not 1.

The hotel was run down and looked dirty throughout. The rooms were mismatched and the furniture looked old and tired. The shower was in the worst state. Although there was a cleaning team, the room never looked much different after they had 'cleaned.' The whole place just needed a revamp. After a couple of days, we spoke to the hotel manager about our disappointments. In his defence he was quick to try and help and moved us to another room. That, however, really wasn't much better.

The food at the hotel was pleasant with a good variety, including locally supplied/caught produce but we were uncertain about eating there because of how unclean and unkempt the rest of the hotel was.

We were pleased that the hotel had its own private beach, but much like the rest of the hotel, it wasn't particularly clean. Although we didn't go in it, we had a look at the indoor pool- that seemed to be a good size and surprisingly well kept in comparison with other facilities.

I could go on about the disappointments we had but they more or less follow the same pattern. The hotel could be good if it was completely refurbished and given a properly good clean, inside and out.

Disliked — Hotel looked very tired
