Bogaz Hotel Review - 7 of 10 Reviews

The Bogaz is reasonably priced and we had booked cheap flights. All in all, we had a good holiday. If this was a school report, I might say 'could do better'. It needs some tidying up and perhaps, a refurbishment.

The start wasn't so good, as we were shown into a half decorated room with a view of the rubbish heap and some amenities were missing. This was sorted out quickly and we upgraded for some extra money to another room. This one had a sea view, which was really beautiful so it turned out OK.

One thing I'd point out is that we'd gone early in the season and not everything was up and running. That's fine if you are told but they didn't tell us that. For instance, we couldn't use the hotel pools. Fortunately we could drive to beaches in the area. These were amazing beaches so we were not bothered at all.

As we've previously found in this part of the world, rubbish is not cleared away and the grounds at the hotel are far from pristine. You get what you pay for and we were happy for the money we were paying and we did know what to expect. This location is lovely and things could be maintained to a higher standard but we'd have to pay more of course.

Some people point out that you have to cross a busy road to reach the restaurant but it's worth it when you get there. Watching the fishermen going about their daily work while you have your meal can't be bad. Our usual table looking down on the beach couldn't be beaten.

The staff, both in the restaurant and the hotel, were eager to help and were very friendly. They always tried their best when you had a request for something.

If you have a laid back disposition and you can go with the flow, you will have a good time here.
