Bellapais Monastery Village Review - 36 of 65 Reviews

We love this Hotel, we came here 6 years ago in October/ November, the weather was a bit unsettled and the days short but the food and the choices of it were excellent. On that occasion we were half board but the A la carte menu was extensive and we really had no complaints about choices. I put ten pounds on in weight.

We decided that we would like to try it again but in the spring, so we booked on line and went out on the 8th May. We had a good flight to Larnaca and were met by the Taxi and had a good comfortable transfer to the Hotel. The first three days were really sunny and sitting round the swimming pool and having fresh orange drinks and the occasional cold beer were most enjoyable and relaxing. The weather became changeable but one can`t do anything about that.

The Staff were excellent being extremely attentive and helpful. The food was excellent as it was the last time but unfortunately there was no longer fillet steak on our menu which was a disappointment.

We thought that the rooms lacked space for storing our clothes and it would be helpful if the rooms had more draw space.

Apart from these two small things we will continue to go there and will recommend it to other people. One very big plus about the place is that there are no children.

I almost forgot to mention the gardens which are beautiful and well maintained, the Roses were absolutely gorgeous.
