Bellapais Monastery Village Review - 35 of 65 Reviews

My best friend booked us a stay at the Bellapais Monastery Village through Mandy at Go North Cyprus. She usually takes charge of booking our holidays and I'm so glad she booked the Bellapais Monastery! We've travelled to most places in Europe but never to North Cyprus and after a busy beginning of the year for both of us, we were looking for something quiet and tranquil. The whole area of Bellapais was incredibly peaceful and its views were breath-taking! I've come back feeling totally relaxed.

We decided to book two rooms in the main hotel building as we'd read that people weren't keen on the split level arrangement of the mini villas. We were really happy with our choice. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we had fresh towels every day. We both had mountain views which made the stay even more special!

The staff at the hotel were so very friendly. We're both keen on history and made this known to the reception staff who were really keen to suggest places to visit. They even told us a few stories about the area! I think because the hotel isn't massive, the staff really recognise the importance of providing a high level of customer service. A lot of people staying there at the same time as us had come on return visits.

The food in the hotel was very good. It was freshly prepared and always hot. I did feel that the breakfast lacked a bit of variety, especially in terms of fruit. We weren't that concerned about this, however, as we were often out early in the morning and enjoyed having coffee in the local cafes.

My friend and I don't really have a bad word to say about the Bellapais Monastery Village. It had everything we needed and we had such a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I'm not sure it would appeal to people hoping to be nearby a vibrant town. The gym area is also rather small but like I said, it was perfect for us!
