This is a hotel review for Bellapais Monastery Village in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“OK hotel a long way from anywhere!”
I was so much looking forward to my holiday to North Cyprus and in many ways it was fantastic. The hotel was very nice with a lovely restaurant and really friendly staff who were not stuck up at all. They made us very welcome, got us everything we needed and were always smiling.
The pool and the sun deck were really great. There were plenty of sunbeds and space for everyone. The bus ran into town during the day, but at night there was not much going on for younger people. The bar tenders were fun, but the drink prices were crazy. Beer was the cheapest thing to drink. The internet was so old-fashioned and slow which was a pain too.
The breakfast was really good and served until late. The dinner was from the menu and were very nice meals. We ate lunch at the pool bar which was nice. The only place worth visiting besides the town and castle is the Turtle Hatchery which the hotel staff told us about. It is a great place to go and see the eggs and the baby turtles before they are released into the sea.
Liked — The pool
Disliked — Poor internet
