Bellapais Monastery Village Review - 1 of 65 Reviews

I had originally booked our vacation at another location, but learned that location has some issues. Switching to Bellapais was the best thing we could have done. We got to the hotel late in the evening, yet they still found food to serve us dinner when we stated we were famished. Definitely great choices in meals for all hours. We stayed in a villa looking out at Kyrenia- plenty of room and air conditioning. There was a pool; plenty of staff on hand for beverages and even snacks.

We didn't want to just sit around the pool the whole time so we rented a car. Staff was very knowledgeable about places to visit and directions. We toured the island. We also went to Famagusta, but it was a long drive, so we were quite tired afterwards. Turtke Hatchery is a must see and not too far from the hotel. We definitely made the right choice in hotels. Others around the area and the one we were booked in were not as good. You can't beat the villas or the views of the sea. There was even free taxi service for the in town locations. The price of the rooms was well worth the stay. Our stay lasted for 10 days, and we never found any fault with the hotel rooms, cleanliness, or most of the staff. Language was a slight issue. Overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place in North Cyprus. It was the best all around that we saw.

Liked — the hotel was clean, well located, and staff helpful.
Disliked — walking from our villa took many steps down to the pool and restaurant.
