Bellapais Monastery Village Review - 10 of 65 Reviews
This is a hotel review for Bellapais Monastery Village in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“Beautiful Bellapais”
Not every hotel would bother to make sure late arrivals had some food, but the Bellapais made sure we had dinner on arrival, very much welcomed by myself and my ever-hungry partner!
The Bellapais was being redecorated and refreshed fro the summer months, but the work never interfered with a very restful and enjoyable stay. After all, it would take an army of decorators to block such a wonderful view down the mountain to the coast.
Our villa was spacious and remarkably warm even on the chillier nights, and nicely private for people like us who want peace and quiet. However, nothing could keep us from the lure of the breakfast, which was both generous and delicious.
Luckily in such a mountainous location the Bellapais had a car park for the hire car, and we certainly made the most of our little car, zipping around the countryside, diving down to the deserted beaches and nipping into Girne town. (Is the ringroad ever easy to drive around?!)
Only downside was the flight out with Cyprus Turkish Airlines - has anyone told them a smile goes a long way?...
Liked — peace and quiet
Disliked — flight there - and back...
