Bellapais Monastery Village Review - 11 of 65 Reviews

This hotel is very good, great location above Kyrenia, with a hotel bus to/from town 3 times a day. Bellepais village (Monastery + restaurants etc) is quite a long walk, mostly uphill, so beware of that. The staff are excellent, generally with good spoken English - restaurant was very good, fine variety for breakfasts (& freshly cooked to order) and we ate dinner there 2 nights from 3, (first night we arrived too late thanks to Luton airport chaos!), very good value, choice and quality (half-board option is very good value).

We had a 'villa' room, split-level with the bedroom on the mezzanine level, evrything else downstairs; the stairs are quite steep, so some very elderly guests may prefer the normal hotel rooms. Trying to think of a less-good point, maybe the towels were a little old, but were clean, and the bed could be a bit firm for some people, and don't expect lots of English channels on the TV, just 2 for news.
