Bella View Hotel Review - 9 of 38 Reviews

We only recently returned from a short stay in the Bella View Hotel, which we decided to try on recommendation from my Mother-in-law. We arrived there in the early hours of the morning, and expected to find it practically deserted, but the manager was there to greet us warmly and offer us a drink and a free snack before we retired for the night. Needless to say, after a day of travelling we were relieved not to have to worry about finding somewhere to eat.

This brilliant customer service continued for the whole time we were there. Our breakfast was cooked to order each morning, and the staff remained outgoing but unintrusive. We also had a few daytime meals in the Bella View- they were entirely suitable for a five-star hotel, and relatively competitively priced. Drinks at the bar were a little more expensive than those outside the hotel, but not so much as to be worth quibbling over.

We did some travelling around the Northern part of Cyprus by car, because we'd never been there before and had heard there were some interesting sights to see. This proved to be great fun, and the scenery there was beautiful, but car hire was a tad expensive.

Eating at restaurants nearby the hotel was a bit hit and miss. On consecutive days we ate in a fantastic fish restaurant overlooking the harbour (complete with quick, friendly service) followed by a nice-looking, but ultimately disappointing place where the service was hurried and unfriendly and the food was relatively poor. We would definitely advise asking other tourists' advice on where to eat- that's how we found most of the nicer places to eat.

As you can tell, our holiday was very enjoyable and we'd be happy to visit the Bella View again in the future.
