Bella View Hotel Review - 10 of 38 Reviews

Last year we visited northern Cyprus and came to the town of Kyrenia after recommendations from friends, however unfortunately the hotel we chose was a huge disappointment and was not only dirty, shabby and untidy but also meant that we spend most of our holiday trying to stay out of the hotel!

So..Before we decided to come away over the Christmas break this year my partner was adamant that we find a good hotel to avoid such a time again. We firstly did some research online and then found some reviews to back up the reputations of the places we wanted to stay at. This time round we chose a hotel called Bella View which was a north Cyprus hotel which had a great reputation. We were not disappointed with the hotel upon arrival. We chose to hire a car as it's a small taxi ride to wherever you wish to go, so that worked great for us.

At first we noticed how clean the hotel was. The room we had was spacious and neatly laid out. The bathroom was especially clean too and there had obviously been some care taken to prepare the room for our arrival. However there were some negative points that we should note too in fairness. Firstly the staff weren't so much abrupt but were certainly 'stiff' in the way they dealt with customers.

The restaurant was clean and the food was tasty but very expensive for what it was. We ate in the local town twice and had a better and cheaper experience so it seems the hotel must cash in on the residents who find it more convenient to stay in the hotel. I cant really say the hotel shouldn't be recommended, that would be unfair, however be aware its pretty expensive to eat in and there are more 'politely' ran hotels about.

Disliked — staff were pretty cold and food expensive
