“Our opinion of the Bella View”
This location is lovely and quiet and we loved it here. All the staff welcomed us and helped us. There is a choice of a local breakfast or an English one, both large and tasty, and it was great to digest by the pool. The only thing I missed was fresh orange juice. It was peaceful at the pool area and they don't cram the sun beds.
It's a short walk up the hill from Bellapais Abbey to reach the hotel and we were impressed. As well as the scenery, there are some wonderful restaurants and bars, and there's a relaxed atmosphere everywhere. We ate at the hotel the one time and ate out for the other evenings. Bella View meals are a bit more expensive but the food is superb. There are lots of restaurants and bars to choose from at Bellapais and Kyrenia and it's inexpensive to get there by taxi, so I would certainly stay here again.
The staff helped us to hire a car and we drove round and saw the wonderful sights. That was made a lot easier by the fact they drive on the left like us. You can go on coach excursions too but we enjoyed driving and seeing the terrific views. I particularly recommend driving to the tip of the pan handle. We also enjoyed walking into Kyrenia sometimes. It's downhill but takes an hour, so we got a taxi back to the hotel.
Liked — helpful staff
Disliked — lots of hills
